Dan Gurney, who won the French and Mexican world championships in a Brabham, would again be the number one driver. Brabham himself would continue to drive in most of the grand prix events. The team would eventually have five formula one grand prix cars, the “Daily Telegraph” said. Three would be powered by Coventry Climax V 8 engines while two others were being built to take the new 16-cylinder Coventry Climax engine still being developed.
