THEFT AS SERVANT

(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, December 16. A former postmistress at Renwick, Norma Kathleen Lancaster, aged 44, married with four children, was sentenced to imprisonment when she appeared before Mr G. A. Nicholls, S.M., this morning for sentence on five charges of theft as a servant involving a total of £157 2s 6d. She was sentenced to three months on each charge, the terms to be concurrent. Represented by Mr F. W. Horton, she pleaded guilty to the offences which were said to have been committed between June 8 and 16 of this year.

Senior-Sergeant T. Bryce, who prosecuted, explained all amounts had been repaid.
