CHOIR GIVES RECORD

United Nations Social Dr. V. A. M. Beerman, the United Nations special representative in Australia and New Zealand was presented with a recording of Christmas carols by members of the Christchurch Sacred Heart College for Girls at a social evening held by the Christchurch branch of the United Nations Association. The carols were recorded by the school choir and were representative of carols from several countries. Prior to the presentation the choir sang three carols from Spain, France and England.

in thanking the choir. Dr. Beerman said the record provided a link between them and his young daughter who also attended a Sacred Heart College, staffed by the same order of nuns in Sydney.
