Diversion Cost £8000

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) AUCKLAND, Nov. 6. The two-days’ diversion in the Indian Ocean by the 21,000-ton Greek liner Ellinis to take a sick seaman from a Norwegian tanker cost the liner’s owners an estimated £BOOO in lost time, an official of the company said today. The Ellinis reached Auckland last night about 36 hours behind schedule. She sailed today at 9.30 a.m. The seaman was picked up from the tanker on October 24 and was landed at Fremantle.
