C.0.R.5.0. Appeal Up to yesterday a total of £1335 had been received by C.0.R.5.0. from its charity collection in the country districts of Canterbury and the West Coast. The collection made use of “gratitude boxes” placed in households with an appeal that a family should, at meals, donate a penny to the box for each of its members. Of 10,000 boxes distributed, only 4000 had been returned to C.0.R.5.0. headquarters yesterday. Proceeds will be sent to the United Nations Freedom From Hunger campaign.
