Hohepa Home Appeal

The Town and Country Planning Appeal Board will sit in Christchurch during the week beginning December 14 to hear the appeal against the proposed establishment of a Hohepa home in Hackthorne road.

Heathcote county councillors were last evening told by the County Clerk (Mr W. H. Scrimgeour) that the estimated cost of the Hohepa hearings was about £4OO.

The council decided to obtain the opinion of the county solicitor on an approach to the Internal Affairs Department for a grant towards the cost.
