ROUTE TO MEXICO

‘N.Z. Not Affected’ (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 19. The operation of Qantas between Australia and Mexico City did not affect New Zealand, the Secretary for Civil Aviation (Mr B. R. Rae), said in an interview today. He said a report that the Mexican Communications Ministry had authorised Qantas to operate between Australia, New Zealand, Acapulco and Mexico City was not correct. The real route would be Sydney, Noumea, Fiji, Tahiti, Mexico, Mr Rae said. He said Qantas did not have rights to operate through New Zealand to Mexico.
