SELECTORS UNCHANGED

Proposal Not Accepted The New Zeeland cricket •electors—Messrs J. G. Leggat, M W. Wallace and J. R. Reid—were reappointed for this season by a meeting of the board of control on Saturday. The appointments were decided In committee but the secretary (Mr R. G. Knowles) said that a recommendation from Northern Districts that the selection panel should not include a current first-class player had been discussed by the board. Although no statement was issued, the appointment of Reid, the present New Zealand captain, as a selector made the obvious point that the Northern Districts suggestion had not been accepted. Mr Knowles also said that the New Zealand team to tour India, Pakistan and Britain would not include a baggage managerscorer and an assistant manager.
