De Gaulles Last Stop

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay), October 10. President Charles de Gaulle wound up his visit to Uruguay today and boarded the French cruiser, Colbert, for a week-end cruise to Brazil, the last stop on his 10-nation tour of South America. Before he stepped aboard the Colbert for the trip up the Atlantic coast, de Gaulle and the Uruguayan Chief of State, Mr Luis Giannattasio, issued a joint communique in which they agreed to expand commercial relations and intensify the teaching of French in Uruguayan schools. They also signed a cultural agreement.
