Compensation Claim Fails

A claim for compensation by Brennan Peter McCartin (Mr J. W. Dalmer), an employee of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd. (Mr C. B. Atkinson) was refused by Judge Dalglish in the Compensation Court. The plaintiff claimed compensation from the company for a cut tendon in the left index finger, suffered while he was working on the legging table at Islington last year. It was claimed that the plaintiff could no longer retain his position on the chain and had to accept a labouring job at the works. Dr. J. K. Davidson placed the amount of permanent partial disability as 2} per cent.
