“NO LONGER MYSTERY”

Body Found In Paddock (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 24. The death of the Wellington businessman, Joseph Maroon Joseph, aged 56, whose body was found in a Karori paddock yesterday morning, is no longer a mystery, says Detective Chief Inspector A. I. Knapp, officer in charge of the Wellington C. 1.8. “There is nothing suspicious or mysterious as far as I am concerned,” said Mr Knapp today. But he declined to elaborate on how Mr Joseph came to be in the paddock, two miles away from his Karori home. Detective Senior-Sergeant D. J. Dwan said that a postmortem examination on Mr Joseph’s body had satisfied the police that no other person was involved. Two horses in the paddock have been subjected to hoof tests by the D.S.I.R. The results of the tests were not known today.
