Centurions Together

Traditionally players reaching their century of first-class games are given the honour of leading the team on to the field on the occasion of their hundredth match. When Canterbury plays Wellington tomorrow this tradition might have caused a minor problem for two Canterbury players, W. F. McCormick and 3. N. Creighton, have reached the mark in the same match.

However, rather than try to decide which player takes precedence, the problem has been solved by bracketing them and allowing them to lead the team out together.

Coincidentally, the Wellington full-back, M. W. Williment, is also playing his hundredth match and he will lead the Wellington team out.
