REESE BROS. MOVE
New Interest In Plastics A controlling interest in Applied Plastics Company, Ltd., has been acquired by Reese Brothers, Ltd., Christchurch builders’ merchants and flooring contractors. Applied Plastics is the largest injection moulding firm in the South Island, engaging mainly in custom moulding for other industries. It does business in both the North and South Islands. Mr E. Kaldor, founder and managing director of Applied Plastics, will retire from active management at the end of the year, but will stay on the board as an adviser. Mr D. Hamilton will continue as manager of the firm. Reese Brothers already have substantial interests in the plastics industry through a number of subsidiary firms. Wormaid Brothers.— Wormaid Brothers, Industries, Sydney, has lifted ordinary dividend from 5 per cent to 8 per cent for the year after a profit rerovery of £150,523 to £338,129.
