VANDALS IN BACH

Systematic Damage (N.Z. Press Association) PALM. NORTH, Sept. 7. Vandals have caused considerable damage to a onestorey and a half bach at Tangimoana. Mr M. Toms, joint owner of the bach with Mr R. McLean, discovered the damage on Saturday afternoon. “I do not know when the damage was done,” he said today. “I have not visited the bach for two or three months.” Mr Toms could not estimate the cost of the damage. “The complete living portion upstairs was in a mess,” he said. “I did not stay long, just had a look round, and then went to the police. “From what I saw it appears the vandals worked systematically. Fortunately they did not touch the two boats sitting beneath the living quarters.”
