Plans For N.Z. Tour (N.Z. Frets Association) AUCKLAND, Sept 7. Meetings with Auckland manufacturers have been • arranged for the 16 senior service and civil officers from the Imperial Defence College, London, who will arrive on Thursday. The party, led by the college commandant Admiral Sir Deric Holland-Martin, wishes to see New Zealand industries as well as defence establishments. The party will reach Whenuapai by air at 3 p.m. and at an evening reception in H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel will meet local businessmen, civic and militarv leaders. On Friday morning they will tour the Auckland industrial area. The party will leave on Friday afternoon for Hamilton.
During the week’s tour they will visit the Kinleith paper mills, lands denartment development at Rotorua, the Wairakei geothermal nroject, Massey University, Waiouru and Linton military camps and the R.N.Z.A.F. station, Wigram. From the air they will see the Benmore hydro-electric scheme. Mount Cook, Milford Sound and the southern lakes. They will leave New Zealand from Christchurch on September 17.
