(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 6. Results of cricket matches which ended on Friday were:— At the Oval: Surrey 391/8 dec. beat Warwickshire 146 and 167 (R. Harman 6/44, P. Pocock 4/55) by an innings and 78 runs. Surrey 10 points. At Taunton: Kent 174 and 247 (F. Rumsey 5/77) beat Somerset 215/3 dec. and 154 (E. Fillary 3/11) by 52 runs. Kent 10 points, Somerset 2. At Scarborough: W’est Indian XI 30/4 dec. arid 202 (J. Savage 5/77) drew with an England XI 272/4 dec. and 140/3 (J. Bolus 52 not out). At Lord's: Middlesex 289/6 dec and 209/6 dec. beat Derbyshire 192 and 220 (H. Johnson 100; F. Titmus 7/73), by 86 runs. Middlesex 10 points. At Worcester: Worcestershire 239 and 224 (T. Graveney 50, R. Headley 105; T. Greenhough 7/56) beat Lancashire 324 and 66 (D. Slade 6/15, N. Gifford 4/33) by 73 runs. Worcestershire 10 points, Lancashire 2. Final positions in the county cricket championship table were: (Headings are: played, won, lost, drawn, no decision, first innings lead in match lost, first innings lead in match drawn, points):

Surrey and Worcestershire records include one point for tie on first innings in match drawn. Gloucestershire and Hampshire records include one point for tie on first innings in match lost. Hampshire gained five points in drawn match when scores finished level and it was batting.
