Parliament’s Diary
After sitting until 3.30 a.m. yesterday before passing the railways estimates, Parliament met again at 2.30 p.m. The St John’s Anglican Church Bill was read a second time and passed to the relevant committee. Reports on the Savings Banks bills were considered. A Waitara-New Plymouth local bill was dealt with during the afternoon, and in the evening the House began the second reading debate on the National Military Service Amendment Bill.
