TASMAN FLIGHTS

Increase In Summer (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Aug. 31. The three airlines operating trans-Tasman services have scheduled a big increase in flights for the coming spring and summer. Qantas, T.E.A.L. and 8.0.A.C. will operate a total of. 1219 flights each way between Australia and New Zealand from October to March. This is an increase of almost 25 per cent over the same period last year.

The major change in schedules is an increase in services between Brisbane and Auckland and between Melbourne and Wellington from one a week to two a week. It is estimated that 117,060 passengers will cross the Tasman between October and March.
