Sir John Walsh, dean of the University of Otago Dental School, has been elected chairman of the Dental Council. The director of the Division of Dental Health (Dr. G. H. Leslie) has been elected deputy-chairman.—(P. A.) Mr G. D. Stewart, whose term of office as director of the Bank of New Zealand expires in September, has been reappointed for a further three-year term.—(P.A.) Messrs T. W. Perry (Christchurch), P. O. Smellie (Dunedin), and Dr. R. G. McElrty (Auckland) have been reappointed to the board of the Reserve Bank.—(P.A.)
