HOMES FOR AGED

£20,000 To Be Sought An appeal for £20,000 for homes for the aged, to be launched almost immediately by the Christchurch Methodist Central Mission, was commended yesterday to the generosity of Methodist people by the North Canterbury Methodist Synod. The appeal is for the difference between the cost of two building projects and the likely amount of Government subsidy on them.

About £16.000 is needed for a 36-bed home to be built in Harewood road, and about (4000 for extensions to Wesley House, Picton.
