Ice Hockey HAWKS BEAT WOLVES
Both Sides Plav Well i Hawks added two points to their tally when they beat Wolves. 4-2, In an Ashby Bergh rosebowl Ice hockey match at the Indoor Ice Rink last night The ice was fast, and both teams played well, with plenty of fast passing. Wolves had the better of the first period, and soon had a two-goal lead. Both goals came from fast passing. Hawks made most of the attacks In the second period, and only super lative play by the Wolves goal keeper (A. Smith) kept out all but one. In the final period Hawks's forwards combined much bet ter and scored three goals Each time the puck was passed across the rink several times without a Wolves player getting near it. and the scorer had a clear shot at the net. P. Wright (2) scored for Wolves, and B. Offord i2). N. Hole, and G. Bainton for Hawks The referees were Messrs B [Dando and B. Lester. The teams were: Hawks. —C.
