Offered on account of the estate of Thomas John Rayner, a weatherboard house at 1 Seddon street, Kainga, was sold for £3OO at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr L. Aitken. The opening bid was £2OO. There were two bids of £5O. The house has one bedroom, living-room, and kitchenette. Outbuildings on 'the section of 30 perches include a laundry and garage. The rental of the leasehold section is £5 a year. The rates are £5 Ils Id.
A bungalow at 16 Dunn street, Somerfield, was passed in at £1625 when it did not reach the reserve of £lB5O. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer. The house has three bedrooms, kitchenette-dinette, hall, lounge, bathroom, and laundry. There is also a garage on the section of 19.9 perches. The rates are £23.
