Approval For Penalties

HAMILTON, Aug. 4.

Magistrates should follow the example of Mr Stewart Hardy, S.M., and impose more severe penalties for traffic offences, the president of the Waikato Justices’ Association (Mr W. H. Hicks) said today. “I realise Mr Hardy’s penalties are severe, but the accident rate is increasing, and I would like to see the penalties increased even further,” he said.
