Men’s Singles.—R. Murray beat B. Marriott, 11-15, 15-11. 18-13; H. Smith lost to G. Ford. 5-15, 12-15: J. Rouse beat B. Fowler, 15-13, 9-15, 15-6; L Austin beat R. Blunt, 17-14, 15-8.

Women’s Singles.—Miss M. Patterson beat Miss O. Williams. 13-11, 11-12, 11-7; Miss J. Ellis lost to Mrs P. Duckmanton. 12-9, 8-11, 0-11: Mrs M. Brown beat Miss M. Ingles, 1,2-10, 11-2, Mrs D. Tavendale Tost to Miss R. Evans, 7-11, 8-11.
