Three Charges Of Burglary (N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, July 31. “As a guest in this country a certain standard of behaviour was expected of you,” Mr L. N. Ritchie, S.M., told a young Canadian today when he appeared for sentence on four charges. Jack Arnold Rutherford, aged 21, unemployed, was charged on three counts of breaking and entering between June 9 and June 23, and with unlawfully getting into a car on June 30. He had previously pleaded guilty. The accused admitted having carried out three burglaries in the city involving about £507. He was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on the breaking and entering charges. On the charge of unlawfully entering a car he was disqualified from driving for two years.
