TYPHOID CASES

Innoculatiou Proposed (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, July 1. Mass innoculatioh against typhoid may be carried out in the Ruatoki valley, 15 miles from Whakatiane. Two positive carriers of typhoid from Ruatoki were admitted yesterday afternoon to the Whakatane Hospital. This brings the number of cases admitted from Ruatoki in the last two weeks to five positive and four suspected. Dr. W. C. Davidson, Medical Officer of Health, Rotorua, said yesterday there was no cause for public alarm and mass innoculatlon was not thought advisable at present. But innoculation could be carried out in the Ruatoki valley. in the near future.
