“Drop-Head” Model Dress Awaited

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)

LONDON, June 28.

The newest variation of the topless dress is the “drop-head-coupe” model developed by a London fashion firm, the “Daily Herald” reported.

It will be ready for the shops this week, the newspaper said. The frock can be worn buttoned up to the throat and ultra-respectable. Or it can be worn in the evening with the bosom, almost, but not quite, exposed. Or, if you believe half a bust is better than none, you can reveal most of one side and none of the other.

One of the firm’s representatives claimed today they had more than 1000 orders already. The designer Cyril Bier, aged 40, said: “Our dress is daring without being indecent.

It is smart and chic and could be worn by a woman of any age.” The little-by-little is managed with detachable panels fitted into a scooped-out neckline with snap fasteners.
