POLICE OFFICER RETIRING

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 29.

Assistant-Commissioner 0. S. W. Power, officer-in-charge of the Auckland police district for the last 20 months, will retire on Wednesday. His successor has not been announced yet. His four sons all joined the police. One, the late DetectiveSergeant N. W. Power, was killed in the Waitakere shooting tragedy in January, 1963.
