Sobers Available
The brilliant West Indian cricketer, G. St. A. Sobers, has advised the New Zealand Cricket Council from Australia that he is definitely available for a festival match at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, at Labour Week-end. None of the Other overseas stars invited to play has yet replied.—(P.A.) Cup Contender The 12-metre yacht, Sovereign, one of the British contenders for the Americas Cup races in September, was loaded on board the Cunard freighter, Andania, at Southampton today. The other British contender, Kurrewa V, sponsored by the Australian brothers, Frank and John Livington, will be shipped to America later. —London, June 28.
