DRIVER DID NOT STOP

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 29. A driver failed to stop after hitting a parked car and, when being pursued by a police patrol car, reached speeds of 55 to 60 miles an hour and went through two compulsory stop signs. Sergeant L. R. Woodgate told Mr E. F. Rothwell, S.M. today. Eric Michael Ford, aged 21, moulder, pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident, failing to ascertain if any persons were injured, failing to stop at the signal of a police constable and dangerous driving. He was fined a total of £55 and disqualified from driving for two years.
