CANTERBURY SQUAD

Four Country Players Added

Four Canterbury forwards —J. M. Le Lievre, A. Hopkinson, N. G. Cornelius, and A. Wyllie—have been included in the Canterbury Rugby squad which was announced after the Town-Country match by the selectors (Messrs R. H. Duff and M. J. Dixon).

The selectors have not made many changes to the squad which was chosen to train for the Country match. All of the backs have been retained but two forwards, P. Lee and J. S. Baird, have been omitted.

Wyllie, a promising flanker, is the only player in the squad who has not played for Canterbury. J. Francis, the Country lock, was not available for selection.

The squad is—backs: D. C. I.eary, W. F. McCormick, W. M. Birtwistle, W. J. Thompson, R. Morris, R. C. Moreton, D. A. Arnold, P. A. Hutchinson, B. A. Watt, W. Cottrell. L. Davis.

Forwards: I. H. Penrose, D. J. Graham, A. Wyllie, R. Wainohu, M. C. Meikle, J. F. Burns, A. Hopkinson, N. G. Cornelius, J. M. Le Lievre, C. R. Hockley, E. Veal, D. S. Pirie, J. N. Creighton.
