Boy Ice Skater Breaks Leg

Robert William Young, aged 10, of 34 Bethel crescent, broke his left leg while skating at the ice ring in Centaurus road.

The accident happened about 8.35 p.m. The boy was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by ambulance. His condition was later reported to be satisfactory.

Furniture Display. The furniture trade group of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association yesterday decided to hold a furniture court at this year’s New Zealand Industries Fair, which will open in Christchurch on August 20. Nine of the 18 manufacturers represented at the meeting indicated that they would participate.
