Locking Up Their Ties
American men have been warned to lock up their wardrobes. Women have taken to wearing ties.
Recent fashion previews in New York launched the “gentlemanly look” for women, complete with neatly knotted ties, usually black, worn with manstyled shirts. With the tailored shirts and mannish ties go brass-buttoned waistcoats and boldly-striped blazers teamed with plain, straight skirts.
