Mr L. G. Heptinstali, First Secretary in the British High Commission, has been appointed Deputy High Commissioner in Lahore, Pakistan. He and his wife and daughter will leave Wellington by air on June 24. His successor, Mr J. E. A. Miles, is expected in Wellington, with his wife and three children, on May 31. Mr Miles previously served in the British High Commission in Wellington from 1948 to 1951 and recently has been First Secretary in the British High Commission in Jamaica. His wife is a New Zealander. Mr M. G. B. Coultas, Australian Government Trade Commissioner for the South Island Will be away from Christchurch from June 2 to June 7. He will accompany the Australian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Dr. D. A. Cameron, on visits to Dunedin and Invercargill. They will make formal calls on city dignitaries and hope to visit a number of manufacturers and traders interested in expanding trade between Australia and New Zealand.
