Open-Air Worker
Assn. — MELBOURNE, May 2( Melbourne has a young and blonde drain-layer—a girl. She is Edna Terrill, aged 19, who is following in the footsteps of her drain-layer father. "As a trained window dresser I was paid only £8 17s a week— now I earn £12." she said today. "For another thing. I would mueh rather work in the open, even when it’s raining or very hot.” Edna's father. Mr Keith Terrill, says his daughter is a first-elass worker. Edna's daily working kit is rubber boots, jeans, pull-over, pick and shovel.
