The Springboks are likely to play nine matches in Australia before touring New Zealand next year, an increase of four matches from 1956, said the chairman of the Australian Rugby Union (Me C. W. Blunt) today, according to the Sydney “Daily Mirror.” The British Isles team, due to tour in 1966, would do the same, he said. In addition, South African and British teams would be making full-scale tours of Australia within the next few years, he said. The first fullscale tour of Australia by South Africa would probably be in 1970 and by the Lions in 1971.
