Record Oat Yield

(N ?. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, May 22.

A world record for oat production has been verified by the Department of Agriculture. The record was established by Mr J. W. Allison, of Gladfield, with a yield of oats of 166.01 bushels an acre from a paddock of 27.013 acres.

Mr A. M. McLachlan, of Waimatuku, obtained 163.6 bushels an acre from 10.16 acres in the same season. His yield also beats what is thought to be the world record.
