Conference On Timber

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 10. Three senior Forest Service officers from Rotorua will leave for Australia tomorrow. Mr D. Kennedy, conservator of forests, Rotorua, and Mr R. C. T. Gardiner, senior sawmilling officer, will attend the Australian timber stablisation conference, at which Mr Gardiner will present a paper conveying the progress New Zealand has made in sawmilling methods. The third officer, Dr. J. M. Uprichard, of the Forest Research Institute, is going to study hardwood pulping techniques.
