Air Race Handicaps

Sir, —Further to my recent letter, I am pleased to see the organisers, have admitted their error in handicapping at least the winning entrant. As everybody knew at the end of the race that the Vieta had won only because of his generous handicap, it must have been obvious to the organisers also. So Why was he declared the

winner? After all, £lOOO was involved, and it was won by a mistake on the telephone. The ■ second aircraft should have been declared the winner unless his handicap was wrong. May I say I did not get in the first three, but I do like justice?—Yours, etc., WE WUZ ROBBED. . March 31, 1964.
