Night Express Delayed
The overnight express from Dunedin was two hours and a half late in arriving at Christchurch yesterday morning. Engine failure caused the delay.
The express engine broke down between Norwood and Dunsandel. At that point it was already 50 minutes behind schedule. A relief engine was connected and the express finally arrived in Christchurch at 9.30 ajn. instead of 6.58 a.m.
