The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) has been sent an unexpurgated copy' of “Lady Chatterley’s Lover,” by D. H. Lawrence, by the New Zealand distributors who are seeking .to have the book submitted to the Indecent Publications Tribunal,
The 317-page book is in a Penguin edition, the type which the distributors propose to put on Sale' in bookshops throughout New Zealand. The : Penguin-form “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” was submitted before a judge and jury in England in 1960 by the Crown as an obscene publication. .The bopk was cleared'.
