TELEPHONE MINISTRY
Methodist Service
A message explaining the work of the telephone ministry is being used as a test piece for the recentlyinstalled machines to be used by the Central Methodist Mission. By dialling 42-299, the special number to be used by 1 the new service, people will hear the explanation and a short prayer, said tie superintendent (the Rev. W. E. Falkingham). From inquiries and comments already received from people who had rung the service it appeared that the work of the telephone ministry was going to- be much bigger than originally anticipated, Mr Falkingham said. He said that the centre would start in a small way, but expand as resources and the need increased. The aim of the service was to provide help of any kind required by anyone in any kind of need, he said. Mr Falkingham invited people to ring 42-299 to hear what the service will offer.
