Cook Island Landing
(Special Crspdt. N2JPA.) LONDON, March 19.
A survey party from the ice patrol ship, H.M.S. Protector, has made the first recorded landing on Cook Island, which was discovered by Captain Cook in 1775. The party landed from the Protector which is cooperating with the British Antarctic Survey in a comprehensive investigation of the South Sandwich group of islands.
