ONE-FOR-FOUR BY NAT. BANK AUST.
(New Zealand Pres* Association)
WELLINGTON, March 17.
Directors of the National Bank of Australasia, Ltd., announce that following the recent re-organisation of the bank’s capital structure and the adoption of 10s stock units, it is now intended to proceed with the issue of additional capital.
The increase of capital is to provide funds for the continued expansion of the bank’s business.
It will be made by the issue of 5,044,518 shares of 10s each at a premium of 2s 6d (Australia) to be paid in full at 12s 6d a share. The issue will in the first instance be offered to stockholders whose names appear on the share registers at the close of business on April 17, 1964, in the ratio of one new 10s share for every four 10s stock units then held. It is intended that shares of the issue shall be converted to stock immediately upon allotment and an appropriate resolution will accordingly be submitted to a general meeting. Dividend Ranking
The new issue will rank for dividend from June 1, 1964, and, in respect of the half-year ended September 30, 1964, will be entitled to
dividend at the rate of twothirds of the rate which is declared for that half-year in respect of the present issued capital of the bank. For the purpose of determining those stockholders entitled to participate in the new issue, the share registers will be closed from 9.30 a.m. Thursday, April 16 to close of business on Friday, April 17.
