Doug Jones, recently named top contender for the world heavy-weight title, today challenged the champion, Cassius Clay, to prove he is “the greatest.' ’ Jones, a 27-year-old New Yorker, dropped a close decision to Ciay last year. Many fight observers thought the fight should have gone the other way. Jones contended today: “I beat him once and I can beat him again.’’
