New Danish Consul

Mr P. J. Skellerup has been appointed honorary Danish consul in Christchurch. The appointment has been made by royal decree of the King of Denmark on January 30. Mr Skellerup, who is of Danish descent is at present assistant managing-director of Skellerup Industries, Ltd. He is prominent in community life in Christchurch and holds several honorary offices He is a member of the Christchurch City Council. Oil-rich tourists from the neighbouring Arab countries are the customers who spend the most money at Lebanon’s summer resorts.
