STUD FARM ASSISTANT.—Mrs Ross Simpson, who assists her husband at his thoroughbred stud, Hambletonian Farm, Amberley, with the imported American stallion, Comte de Grasse. Mrs Simpson, who was born in Christchurch, worked for some time as a secretary in Australia before her marriage. The horse’s progeny in the United States includes Cut de Grass, Mow de Lawn and Trim de Turf. The stallion’s oldest New Zealand-bred progeny are now yearlings.
