Hungarian To Stay In U K.

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 17. The Hungarian javelin star; Elizabeth Vigh, who fled to Britain by way of Vienna in December, has been given permission to stay in Britain another year, the “Guardian” reported.

Miss Vigh aged 28, better known as Elizabeth Krebs, was seventh in the javelin event at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956. She came to Britain because she felt she would have more freedom as an athlete. Miss Vigh has represented Hungary in the Olympics three times and would have been in this year’s team for the Tokyo Games.
