Before 30,000 people yesterday, Air Marshal Sir Hector McGregor, air officer commanding-in-ohief, Far East Air Force, officially opened the new Hawke’s Bay airport Sir Hector McGregor was born in Wairoa 54 years ago to the day. He congratulated all those who had had a hand in constructing the 4300 ft sealed runway which will bring the jet age to Hawke’s Bay-
