Canterbury Assn. Officers Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Indoor Bowls Association were:— Patron. His Worship the Mayor, Mr G. Manning; president. Mr R. Hogwood; immediate past-president. Mr E. G. F. Smith; vice-presidents. Mr R. Foote, Mr D. Cox; committee. Messrs A. Blanch, H. Lack, R. Fridd. P. Osborne, W. Cooper. A. Millar, L. Dunstan. W. It was decided that all open Sunday tournaments for 1964 be restricted to those held at Kearneys road on a 50-50 basis with the association. An open tournament is defined as one consisting of more than 20 teams. '

This system will help the association to pay off the amount owing on the hall, and all clubs were asked to give this full support. A recommendation for the incoming committee was that Canterbury championships and official fixtures be held on the last week-end of each month.
